Our whole family is involved with the cause.
My wife Brenda is a volunteer who meets with people dealing with the effects of suicide and homicide.
My children participate
My wife Brenda is going to ride with me!
I do not ask anyone to donate for anything, except to give to this cause. It means a lot to us and to the community.
I ride and raise funds, so that these valuable community based services remain available and without your support, they could not continue to exist. The Toronto Distress Centres depends on outside funding to continue to exist.
I would like you to know that every dollar you give goes directly to the cause, not one dollar goes to administration.
All donations are fully 100% tax deductible and receipted!
Any amount is graciously accepted, but please give generously.
For every $1,000 I raise, each of my family members get to eat ribs at the lunch after the ride. There are a lot of us and we are hungry!......lol.
Here are a few more details about the cause:
The Distress Centres provide 24-hour telephone support, 365 days a day. Hundreds of thousands of calls later, this agency continues to offer round the clock response to those experiencing emotional distress or in need of crisis intervention and suicide prevention. We also provide face to face support and counseling to people dealing with the effects of suicide and homicide.
Thank you for your support. We really appreciate it!
Distress Centres may be the community’s lifeline, but the B.A.D. Ride is Distress Centres’ lifeline.
